Amy Adams, MM, MT-BC Neurodiversity & Disability Advocate

I am passionate about helping others understand neurodivergence and invisible disabilities through my unique blend of academic knowledge, professional observations, and lived neurodivergent experience. I have provided training for medical and mental health professionals, educators, and parents and caregivers. In 2025, I was chosen to speak about autism at both the Midwestern Region Conference and the National Symposium for the American Music Therapy Association.

I completed my master’s degree in music therapy at Illinois State University and have worked as a Board Certified Music Therapist with children and young adults with disabilities and life-limiting illnesses in Chicago, Northern Colorado, and the Denver metro area. I am located near Boulder, Colorado.
